That’s right, the class list has now been expanded to cover Leuzinger graduating classes from 1961 through 1964.
Also, Gini’s phone number is somewhat hard to read in the flyer. It is (949) 830-3351. It will help us out if you would begin to RSVP. It is not necessary to send any money yet. You can send it later, or pay at the door. We’re just trying to get a handle on how many people to expect.
There has already been a lot of interest. If you are planning to attend from out of town, there are hotels nearby, one quite close to Gini’s house with reasonable rates, the Fairfield Inn.
Gini wanted me to remind all of you about the Class of 62-63-64 Reunion Party she is hosting on September 19th in just three months! Later this summer you’ll get the chance to RSVP. But for now, just mark your calendars.
By the way, if you are in contact with anyone from these classes, make sure they get the word, OK?
As you may remember, Gini hosted a mini reunion for the Classes of 1962 through 1964 last August. At that time, she said they would be an annual event. Here’s the latest from Gini. It will be sometime this summer at her home, and the date will be determined in January. Stay tuned.
Those of you who attended our 50th Reunion, I am sure are wondering where the DVD is. Vicky and I are hard at work and hope to complete it soon. Thank you to all of you who contributed pictures and video clips from the reunion. Going through these and picking the best ones that tell the story to include on the DVD was not a simple task.
When the DVD is completed, it will include not only pictures and video clips from the Reunion weekend, but also glimpses of life for us when we were at Leuzinger. Special thanks goes out to Wes Rizor for providing video (actually shot on film – there was no video back then) that his dad took during 1962 and 1963. A short sample of raw footage is shown below.
For those of you who were unable to attend the reunion, you will be able to buy a copy of the DVD when it is released. Information on how to do that will be emailed to you, as well as posted here. So make sure you keep your email address current with us.
In the meantime everyone, continue to be patient. 🙂
P.S. Soon I will be redoing the blog and our home page – our 50th Reunion is history now.
Over the past many months, I have heard from many of you that you were hoping to come to the reunion if various things worked out. I suspect there are many more of you out there that are thinking that as well. Those of you in the semi-local area certainly may have been waiting to commit.
Well, the time has come for you to decide on whether or not you are going to join the rest of us at our 50th Reunion. In all likelihood, this will be our last formal reunion on this scale. Do you really want to let this opportunity slip away?
The drop dead date to submit your completed Questionnaire and/or order your Reunion ticket is Thursday, August 29th. Remember, even if you are not planning on attending the reunion, we would still very much like to receive a Questionnaire from you!
We have one more surprise for those of you who do attend. During the program Saturday night, there will be a drawing for a truly fantastic gift! The drawing will be open to only those in attendance.
Check your inboxes over the next few days for more details.
For those of you who have been following our blog and reading our emails regarding our upcoming 50th Reunion, you know we are planning an optional trip to Catalina on Sunday, September 8th. The prime summer season for Catalina ends the prior weekend, the Labor Day weekend, so it is unlikely that long lead-time reservations, or any reservations will be needed.
This will be a great way to cap off your Reunion Weekend! Come see how little Avalon has changed since 1963. By the way, the golfers among you may want to check out the golf course on Catalina. The boat schedule certainly can accommodate a round of golf while your on the island. Click here to find out more.
Congratulations to Danny Verrier and his wife Theresa. The are the winners of the free 50th Reunion ticket lottery. They will be receiving their check for $230 shortly.
Even though contest is over there is still time to buy your own ticket, but don’t delay. Our 50th Reunion is just about two months away.
Also, please return your Questionnaires, if you have not already done so. I\f you need another one, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Remember, we need your Questionnaire, even if you are unable to attend the 50th Reunion.
You have two more more weeks to buy your 50th Reunion Ticket or talk a classmate into buying their ticket to be entered into the Free Couples Reunion Ticket Give-Away. After that it will cost you the retail price. Click here for details on how to purchase your ticket.
Check your email inbox for the email sent a few days ago or click here to see the full details.
For sometime many of the details for our 50th Reunion Weekend have been posted. We now have firmed up our tour of Leuzinger. Dr. Howard Ho will host the tour on Saturday morning, September 7th, beginning at 10:00am. As the time gets closer, look for more details regarding where to meet and transportation to/from Leuzinger from the Renaissance Hotel.
