LHS 63 and My Email Problems

I just discovered that my outgoing email has not been going anywhere, even though it is sitting in my Sent folder. This problem goes back to 2/1/13. I still cannot send email in my normal way.

There have been a couple of emails I have sent to our class since the problem began. I am still unable to send these again. I am not sure why the problem exists, but I will get it fixed as soon as I can.

To those of you who returned your completed questionnaire, I believe I have received it. I do appear to be receiving email just fine. I did reply to each of you who have returned your questionnaire thanking you. Of course you never got it. Sad smile

One of the emails that went out to everyone, but failed was resending the original questionnaire, but adding a Microsoft Word document as well as a PDF document in the attachments. I will resend that email as soon as I can, but in the meantime, you can access the two versions from the links below.

Questionnaire – PDF Version

Questionnaire – Microsoft Word Format

These files will remain online even after I clear up the email problem and resend the subject email.

I apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused. Computers are great as long as everything works right.

Missing Classmates List 6 of 6

I have posted five installments of our Missing Classmates list. You can see each one of these posts by scrolling down this blog. In this post, I have included the sixth and final installment. I chose to break our total list into pieces in these posts, so that we could focus a few classmates at a time.

Please look through this final list. If you know how to contact any of the people on it or know how to contact a sibling or close friend, please email me the information.

Also, as I said early on, if you would like to volunteer to find a friend you have lost track of since high school, please let me know. I will send you the latest leads that will hopefully help you reconnect with them. Having you do this would be very helpful to us. We just don’t have the time to research and run down each one of the potential addresses/phones for the over 120 classmates that are missing.

Also, if you know what city or state one of our missing classmates last lived, that would be very helpful as well. With that information, we can generate much better leads as to their whereabouts.

Remember, you can view the complete list at the link below, which we keep updated as the list changes – hopefully getting smaller.

Remember, do not forget to order your tickets to our 50th Reunion. You do not want to miss this. It may very well be our last reunion, at least on the scale of this one. If you have any questions regarding the reunion that are not available online at the link below, do not hesitate to email me. If you have a question, most likely there are others who have a similar one.

Now for the sixth and final list.

We have one more list in our series, which will be posted in a few days.If you have any information regarding where they last lived, friends or relatives who might know something about please email me the information. Also, the committee can also use help in following up on leads that we have received, by calling or emailing a postcard to potential classmates. If you have someone who you would like to volunteer to track down, please let me know. I will provide you the lead information we have collected.

For our 1963 classmates, if you have not done so yet, please take the survey and let us know whether or not you would like to have our 50th Reunion have a 50/60s Theme. Here is the link.

50/60s Theme for Our 50th Reunion?

I received an email suggesting that we adopt a 50/60s theme for our upcoming 50th Reunion, including dressing in the style of clothes we wore during high school. We could come dressed as surfers, hodads etc. Ths person had recently attended a  50/60s party and everyone really liked the idea and had a lot of fun with it.

We are already planning for the music of the evening to be Oldies But Goodies, so a having a 50/60s Theme would fit right in. However, if we were to adopt the theme, dressing the part would be totally optional. The reunion committee thought that this should be decided by the class as a whole.

I have included the poll below. Please take a moment to voice your opinion, even if you are unsure right now whether or not you will be able to attend the reunion.  The poll will be active through Sunday, January 20th. The poll also allows you to add any comments you may have.

Let us know what you think!

Missing Classmates–List No. 2

Here is the second of our series of Missing Classmates. The lists are purposely being kept short to help to help focus our efforts. Please review the names and email any information you may know that will help us locate them and tell them about our 50th Reunion. Last known states where they lived and siblings or others who may know where they currently live will be very helpful.

Oh, one other thing, if you know the married names of any of the women on the list, that would be extremely helpful.

Also, as described below, if you would like to take up the search for one or more of these classmates, I have reports consisting of leads that I can provide you.

Already, we have located a couple of people who were on the first list. As before, the names for this edition are listed at the bottom.

Please email me at donstouder@ca.rr.com or leave a comment below if you have information that will help us.

We are still missing about 130 classmates. The committee really needs your help in trying to locate and contact them. All of our Missing classmates are all listed here:

http://www.donstouder.com/lhs-63/missing%202%20pages%20from%20excel.pdf

By the way, the above link is directly from our class blog, which I hope you are periodically checking for the latest details about our reunion and other news about our class. Here is its address:

https://lhsclass1963.wordpress.com/blog/

We have some possible leads (addresses and a few phone numbers) for each of these from a database search. Here is how you can help.

1. Select one or more names that that you would be willing to help search for. Email me the name or names and I will send you what information I have on potential leads. I’ll also make sure you have contact information to provide them.

2. For many of these people, we do not even have a last known city or state where they lived at one time. If you know this information for one of those listed, please email me.  It would be a big help. I will then run a more focused search, hopefully yielding better information.

3. If there is anyone on our total Missing List that you would like to help find, don’t wait for their names to appear this series of emails. Let me know who they are and I will send you the results we have for them.

As you probably suspect, most of the leads in these reports will be dead ends. But I can tell you from personal experience that, when you do locate a missing classmate, it is  extremely rewarding. Some may say that if a missing classmate has not made an effort to reconnect, they may not have any interest in doing so. That may be true. But I think the more likely scenario is they will be very appreciative and happy that someone from HS thought enough of them to seek them out. It may even encourage them to attend the reunion.

Here is the second batch of names Thanks so much for helping.

Of the approximately 350 classmates, we are still missing about 130. The committee really needs your help in trying to locate and contact them. They are all listed here:

I will be periodically posting a series additional lists of a few of our missing classmates. We have some possible leads (addresses and a few phone numbers) for each of them from a database search. Here is how you can help.

3. If there is anyone on our total Missing List that you would like to help find, don’t wait for their names to appear this series of posts. Let me know who they are and I will send you the search results we have for them.

Here is the first batch of names. Others will be forthcoming in subsequent posts. Please help us find these people. Even if you cannot take up the search for someone, let us know any information you have about them that may help us. A late postscript – This post was emailed to our class yesterday.
