Classmate, Rita Roney, emailed this video to me the other day. It is a collection high school pictures of celebrities. A few, I can recognize without being told, most of them, once the star is identified, I can see the resemblance. But there are a few that like the TV commercial for Liberty Insurance, I just don’t see it. The high school picture of Sony Bono looks like a 250-pound tackle.

All-Class Multi-School Reunion
I am a fan of multi-class reunions, but this one sure tops that it appears. I have never been to the Hawthorne Historical Society Museum, so this might give me an incentive to check it.

Dylanfest 31 is coming next Saturday, September 25th. 8 Hours of Bob Dylan songs performed by nearly 60 musicians who have great voices. 🙂

This family-friendly celebration includes a free souvenir program and beverages and food for purchase. There will be plenty of parking, at no charge. What began as a small backyard party with talented Bob Dylan fans taking turns performing his music has evolved into an eight-hour festival attended by hundreds and featuring some of the L.A. area’s top musicians. August 20th Zoom Meeting
Hi Everyone,
As you know we had another one of our class get togethers via Zoom last Thursday. Not many of you showed up, but Dave Simpson and Gerald Miwa joined us for the first time.
At some point, Tina came up in our reminisces, and we recalled our 45th Reunion in 2008, that Tina and her husband, Phil Volk of Paul Revere and the Raiders attended.
That gave me an idea. Soon after the reunion, I made a DVD that was then distributed to all those who attended. The DVD also included a bunch of Gini Yegsigian’s pictures that she had taken back in 1962 and 1963. They show pictures of classmates from both years. Another interesting note, the first part of the video includes songs by Tina from her CD. Remember she was on the Dick Clark’s, “Where the Action Is” TV show as Tina Mason.

Come Join Us
As I hope you have heard, we have been having a class get together via Zoom every few weeks or so. It has not attracted a large number of our classmates, but it has been fun for the few of us who have joined in.
If you have a camera and microphone on your device, that is all you need. A laptop is one of the easiest to use although Sharon joined us last time via an iPad. Personally, I think smartphones are too small, but they work as well.
Joining a get together via Zoom is extremely easy. I send out the link a few days ahead of time, and all you have to do is click on it on the designated day and time. Ask your grandkids for help if need be. 🙂 I send out the links via email, rather than using Facebook etc to better control the invitees.

Starting at the top row, left to right, that is Jerry Charles, I’m the black square in the middle (my camera malfunctioned), and Steve Kasten on the right. Donna McLaughlin starts the second row, followed by Dave McLeroy, and John Hays. At the bottom are Ted Leverette, and Sharon Barnes. Carol Creighton also joined us, but had to leave before I thought of taking the screenshot.
Come join us next time! Even if COVID-19 was not messing everything up, these informal get togethers are a good to have fun and stay in touch.
